About
CERTIFIED PARENT COACH, EXPERIENCED AND CURRENT EDUCATOR
WHO I AM
Hi, I'm Theresa!
CERTIFIED PARENT COACH, EXPERIENCED EDUCATOR
Hi, I'm Theresa, founder of Humble Brave Parenting and mom of two. I live in the Pacific Northwest with my husband, our 2 kids, and our ever-evolving collection of farm animals. You'll often find me getting lost in a book, momming, or trying to embrace slow-ish living (some days go better than others).
I help parents understand their child's behavior, find solutions, and build stronger, more connected relationships so your home feels like a place you all want to be. My coaching blends real-life experience, empathy, and brain-based, research-backed strategies that actually fit the messy, beautiful reality of parenting.
I offer one-on-one and small group coaching that's practical, supportive, and judgment-free. No guilt. No shame. Just real tools, real talk, and the kind of encouragement that helps you keep going even when it's hard.
Parenting is tough. You don't have to do it alone.
My Story
Coaching is a transformative journey, but I believe it should be uplifting and enjoyable too.
I began in the classroom...
I started my career as an elementary school teacher, pouring my heart into helping kids feel seen, supported, and successful. But over time, I realized something important.
I wanted to make a lasting impact on children's lives. To do that, I needed to go beyond the classroom and partner with the people who make the most impact: parents.
A new direction
So I made a shift. I left my full-time teaching job, started subbing to help support my family, and began my certification in parent coaching.
It wasn't easy. But I knew this work mattered. I wanted to help parents the way I wished someone had helped me: with practical tools, honest support, and absolutely no judgment.
Roots run deep
Today, I still work in the public school system. My roots in education run deep, and I carry that experience into every coaching session.
I believe parents are their child's first and most important teachers.
And I'm a parent too
I'm a mom to two incredible kids: a daughter who is neurotypical and fiercely strong-willed, and a son who is autistic and has ADHD.
I know what it's like to parent kids who don't fit the mold. I've felt overwhelmed, unsure, or like everything that “should” be working… just isn't.
I know what it feels like to try your best and still feel like nothing is working. I've had to relearn, regroup, and reset more times than I can count. And I know what it's like to keep going anyway, because you love your kids that much.
What I believe
I live by this truth: We must become the person we want our kids to grow into.
That means doing the work ourselves. It means showing up, even when it's hard.
What this work is really about
You. It's about you. I'm here to support and empower you.
I believe in your influence. Your impact. Your ability to be the parent you want to be. You already have what it takes.
And I'm here to help you get there.
It starts with you.
Your growth shapes theirs.
